I hope everyone is having a great week so far and getting ready for a beautiful weekend ahead! We have been busy back home on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii building a new studio right off the beach at pipeline! I have also been doing some shows and signings since being back home and it is always so nice to show art here and meet people from all over the world and see so many of our brave military men and women that are stationed here come out to the shows.
Last weekend I had a show at The Wyland Gallery in Haleiwa (this is where I held my first art show) and released a new Limited Edition Giclee on canvas as well as 4 new Open Edition Canvasses as part of a new Hawai'i Botanical Series that I am working on. They are now available at the galleries that support my art around the world as well as on my website: Heather Brown Art
The Limited Edition is "Daydream Sea" Spending time watching the many moods of the ocean has always been one of my favorite pastimes. The ocean lets you clear your mind of everything else and let the daydreaming begin. Inspired by watching the trade wind swells of the east side and north shore of Oahu. While not always the best surfing waves, the waves and wind create such a special feeling both internally and externally.
Daydream Sea is now available as a limited edition giclee on canvas in multiple sizes (edition of just 250 worldwide) as well as a hand highlighted artist proof edition of only 25 worldwide. I also released 4 new pieces that are the start of a new Hawaiian Botanical Series that I am working on. Hawai'i has always held such a special place in my heart not only for the great waves, weather, people and food but also for the flowers and fauna that surround us everywhere we go. I wanted to pay a special tribute to some of my favorite botanicals and create a nice series that could go all together or separate.
