Upcoming Heather Brown Art Shows

I hope that everyone is having a great week and enjoying the first few days of September!!

I wanted to let you all know about some upcoming events that I will be taking part in.

First, this Saturday September 5, 2015 I will be having a book and art signing event at The Wyland Gallery in The North Shore Marketplace in historic Haleiwa Town on Oahu's beautiful North Shore from 2-5 pm!

The following Saturday, September 12,  I am honored to be the featured artist for the Honolulu Zoo "Keiki in the Kitchen" event as part of the 2015 Hawai'i Food and Wine Festival at The Honolulu Zoo. The event takes place between 9 am and 4:30 pm and I will be at my booth from 11am to 3pm for art signings and to say ALOHA!!

Shortly after I will be leaving for my 2015 Japan Fall Tour! Dates and locations are listed below as well as on my website.

Heather Brown Japan Tour Fall 2013 Schedule

I hope everyone is doing great and sharing the Aloha!

I have been really busy the past few weeks both personally (Chris, The Captain had shoulder surgery a couple of weeks ago, so I have been taking care of him) and professionally, creating the new Heather Brown for Rip Curl 2015 line, creating art for a really special new project (I will tell you what this is as soon as I am allowed!) and painting painting painting for my upcoming Japan tour starting October 12, 2013! I am really excited to get back to Japan and show lot's of new art with a few special surprises, see lots of friends, collectors, fans and fellow artists and enjoy some great food and fun along the way!

Hawaii Artist Heather Brown Japan Fall Tour 2013

The first show on my tour is on Saturday October 12, 2013 at The Heather Brown Gallery in Daikanyama, Tokyo
From there we move on to The Yokohama Takashimaya for a show on Sunday October 13, 2013.
Then a few days to visit galleries and stores that have been supporting my art, then to Osaka for a show at the New Heather Brown Gallery in Minamihorie, Osaka on Saturday October 19, 2013.
My final show of this trip will be a really special one too, this will be my first time showing art in Fukuoka! I will be showing art at The Patagonia Store in Fukuoka on Sunday October 20, 2013 then heading back to Hawaii to gear up for the Triple Crown of Surfing Season on The North Shore!

Here is a sneak peak at one of the special pieces I worked on with The Captain for this tour before he had surgery. I used to do a lot of small sculpting and have not had the time in the recent years but I made a few Birds and Chris made this awesome Bird House from all reclaimed wood and I am so happy to show it in person!

I am back in Hawai'i now and even got to get a fun surf in at Chun's this morning as a nice welcome home!

The last show I had when I was on "The Heather Brown Fall Surf Art Tour" was at a great friend of ours restaurant in Yokuska called Kaneyo. Jon is the man behind the magic here. He held the first one last year and it was a blast and this years was even bigger. Great food, music, art and people. It really felt like being at home in Hawai'i.

Mu'umu'u Heaven Show in Kamakura Japan

WOW!!!!! What a show! The Heather Brown Art Show at Mu'umu'u Heaven in Kamukura was great! SO busy, so many old friends and fans and so many new ones too!
The store is so beautiful and the staff and people were so friendly and helpful. Here are a few pictures from the show.
Today I am off to "Art on the Beach" at Kaneyo at Hashirimizu Beach in Yokosuka Japan. If you are in the area you should really come on down, last year was so much fun with art, music, fire dancing, great food and drinks as well.

Good Morning from Tokyo!

I had a great show yesterday at the Patagonia shop in Shibuya, Tokyo! Everyone there is so stoked on surf art, surf culture and showed so much Aloha to me and the big crowds of people.
The store itself in unreal! 4 floors of merchandise and the top floor called the "Patagonia Ocean Floor" really had a great feel and made me feel like I was back home on the North Shore. It has been quite a hectic schedule since I have been here, but I am so lucky to have such great people taking me all over the place and showing so much love and aloha. I have attached a few pictures of the set up of the show for you all to see. Big Mahalo's to all that came out for the show, and if you are in the area today, I will be at Mu'umu'u Heaven in Kamakura for another show!

Wow, what a full day! So tired now but I wanted to share a few photos from today for anyone who missed out.
I had a great show at my gallery in Aoyama today, so many great fans and friends came out to support me and my art, I am so thankful!
After the show I was taken to Samudra Surf Shop to do a radio interview for a Japanese radio station that is popular with the local surfers. The interview will be aired tomorrow morning. The shop had the cutest dog named Wax, he sat on my lap during the interview to keep me company.

Giro Giro in Kyoto

I forgot on my last post, mmmmmmmm, Giro Giro in Kyoto, one of my favorite restaurants in the world!!!
I would love to explain more in words, but a lot is lost in translation. one word....ONO!

Wow! What a great first day of my Fall Japan Tour. Kyoto was great! I had two shows going on during the same day so I went back and forth between them. The first was at a spot I did a show last fall called Cafe Cherry that is owned by the sweetest lady. I also had a show going on at a beautiful temple in the hills, I wish I could remember names of all the places and people better, but I will post pictures to tell the story!
Both shows were so great and packed with such nice people. Big Mahalo to everyone who was able to come out to the Kyoto shows! Today is my show at my gallery, Heather Brown Gallery in Aoyama, Tokyo. Hope to see you there! if you are not in the area, I will post more tomorrow!
