The Lady Slide Sessions will be tomorrow Wednesday October 15, 2014 and will feature The Captain Surfs performing music of his own and some of your favorite Bird Party Songs! Our good friend Peace K will also be playing music and DJ Tommy Returntables will be keeping you all entertained too! Great food, drinks and a fun party environment. Hawaii Artist Heather Brown Prepares for Fall 2014 Tour in Japan and Australia

Happy ALOHA Friday Everyone!

With my upcoming tour just around the corner, each day is a full studio day in preparations for a bunch of shows and fun both in Japan and Australia this October!

Lately I have been busy painting some new soon to be published pieces (including a remake of one of my favorite paintings ever from about 8 years ago!) some originals on skateboards, the art for the upcoming release "Into the Wild with Bird Party" and I just started a new hand pulled silkscreen edition!

The Captain Surfs (Chris) will also be showing art in Japan with WTW in Aoyama and Kobe as well as doing a couple of very special musical performances introducing the new music of Bird Party the Band! I will keep you updated on dates and times of his events as well in the upcoming weeks, but I have been listening in on his studio and I think anyone who comes to see him play live will be in for a real treat! After Japan both The Captain and I will be heading back to Australia where we will both be participating artists at the annual Byron Bay Surf Festival in Byron Bay Australia.

Heather Brown Art News Update January 5, 2014

Aloha Everyone!

I wanted to thank the great staff at Greenroom Gallery Hawaii in Waikiki for hosting such a great show for me and The Captain  on Friday night! We had such a fun show, I have attached a few pictures from the show below.

I also released a brand new Limited Edition Giclee on Canvas and Artist Proof series "Mountain Bear" at the show that is now available for sale!

"Mountain Bear" is my 3rd installment in my new Mountain Snow series but interestingly enough, it is actually the first piece I started last year when we were staying up at our studio in Telluride Colorado for the winter. I had a tough time finishing the piece for a while and it hung on my studio wall for almost a year unfinished until I could finally figure out some details that I wanted to see, now it is quite easily one of my favorite pieces yet! Let me know what you think!

Happy ALOHA Friday!!

Wow! What a great evening yesterday at Mu'umu'u Heaven in Kailua on Oahu, Hawai'i!

Last night was my first collaboration show with The Captain and it was so great!! HUGE Mahalo's to the great owners and angels at Mu'umu'u Heaven for the beautiful space, being SO friendly to us and everyone always, supporting the arts, running a fun smooth show and being just great people!

Thank you also to everyone who made it out to the show, we had so much fun meeting new people and  long time fans and collectors.

We had an amazing show that almost completely sold out, but there are still a few pieces left, so if you are interested in any original art from this show that may still be available, please call Mu'umu'u Heaven at 808-263-3366 or email to manager@muumuuheaven.com and they would be happy to assist you!

I have attached some original art pictures of mine and a few of the collaboration pieces we did, I will post again with The Captain's originals from the show in the next day or so.

Hope everyone is well, been a crazy week around the USA with the fires and floods, Our hearts go out to everyone getting affected right now, Lots of Aloha to you all!!!

Since my last shows this summer on Oahu, I have been busy working on some special upcoming projects that I can't wait to show you (once I can!!)

Many of you know that my Husband Chris, The Captain, has been making our frames, wood surfboards, hand planes, furniture and wood art for some time now. Well he finally got a website up to start showing his one of kind works more globally as his art has really taken off lately and he is being shown in several galleries around the World now, I am obviously so proud and his biggest fan.
