Nature in the backyard

Sometimes inspiration comes to me simply by taking a stroll through my backyard. As the sun was setting on one of the beautiful palms, I noticed a little gathering of a couple geckos and a bright green anole on the base of one of the fronds. These are the simple pleasures in life that I cherish!

Slide Magazine Feature!

Aloha!

I am so excited today, started the day out with a few hours of surfing up here on the North Shore, sunny, glassy, so fun! Breakfast from Ted's Bakery while watching more surf at Kammie's. And home to find the new issue of Slide magazine #18. This is by far one of the nicest surf publications out there on the market and you should check it out.
In this issue, I was lucky enough to be featured in an article written by Ceasar Tittes. Here is what some of it looks like, go get yourself a copy to check out the whole thing!
Big Mahalo to Ryan and the Slide magazine crew for supporting me and surf art as a whole!

New framed Artist Proof Silkscreen prints!

Aloha All!

It's been a busy weekend for us here on the North Shore. We had fun waves for the end of the week and we were able to pick up some great old construction materials from an old beach house that was being torn down near Sunset Beach. This wood seemed to be the perfect material to frame the 6 hand made and hand highlighted artist proof silkscreen prints that I finished last week called "Morning Blue". What better material to frame surf art then wood that has seen some of the best surf on the planet pass by each winter season!

These frames were all designed and built here in my North Shore studio. Each frame is totally unique and green with aloha! There are only 6 available, available on my website.

New Organic Cotton Tote Bags and New Originals!

Aloha Friends!

Another absolutely beautiful day here on the North Shore is upon us and I was just lucky enough to go pick up my new 100% Organic Cotton Tote bags that are printed with water based inks right here in Hawai'i. I am really happy with this bag and design for that special need to hide 1 or two re-usabe bags in a purse or such because they are a bit smaller and less bulky for those quick drug store trips or small grocery trips. The overall size of the bag is 13"x15" and is certified organic. Here is a picture!

I also just added two new originals to my site. These are really special pieces because they will both be featured on tee shirts made from certified organic cotton also. I hope the shirts will be done from the printer next week, but the originals are available now on my site. They are both 12"x16" and painted on wood with gallery wrap profiles, so there is no need to frame them because the painting wraps around the edges.

Well, I hope you like all the newness! Time to go enjoy the rest of the beautiful afternoon.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Rainy Weekend on the North Shore Turned Productive!

Aloha All!

Happy Monday! It was a rainy weekend up here on the North Shore so in between planting new trees and bike riding in the mud I got productive and created a new silkscreen!
Surfing is a part of my daily life and surf art allows me to transfer some of these feelings to others that have the same experiences and can relate and to people that have never been lucky enough to feel the energy of the ocean and surroundings, but can be taken to a special place by imagery.
The silkscreen is titled "Morning Blue" it is a limited edition of 45 with 6 hand highlighted Artist Proofs that add a 3rd color and are all framed in reclaimed wood from old North Shore homes that have been taken down over the years. Truly a Full North Shore product, down to the hardware on the frames! Let me know what you think! Here is a picture of "Morning Blue"

"Morning Blue" is available on my website will be at a limited number of retailers worldwide!
