Hawaii Artist Heather Brown Releases 2 New Matted Prints!

Happy Aloha Friday!

I hope everyone had a great week! I am excited to announce that I have just released 2 new matted prints to my collection!

The first was one of my fastest selling limited editions on canvas called "Pipe Dreams"
Pipe Dreams was originally painted from a picture that Chris had taken when we were watching a great day at Pipe from Jamie and Mick lanai. As soon as I saw the picture, I remember running to my easel and getting started on my rendition of the picture and I really loved the final product so I released it last year and now it has been sold out for about 6 months and I have received so many requests to add it to my matted print collection.

Pipe Dreams is available in 2 sizes and as with all of my prints, they are all available framed in one of a kind reclaimed wood frames made from recycled pallet wood and finished with all water based paints and dyes. All of our frames are made here on the North Shore by our good friend Alex Cox and finished off by Chris. You can order frames in 3 sizes here: http://heatherbrownart.com/home.php?gallery=0000030495&set=2&imageid=00724414

We offer so many different colors and looks and when we get an order I generally match the best frame with the image.

The second new print release comes from an original piece of art that I painted a few weeks back. Every Saturday, I have an "out of the box" creating day. Sometimes I paint, sketch, sculpt, print, really create any art that is outside of my box. Sometimes the pieces come out great! ...and sometimes they get painted over or stored in a closet! This one was one of my favorites that have come from my last year of Saturday Art. It made me smile so much whenever I saw it hanging in my studio. I sold the original at a show a few weeks back but luckily for me I had the image scanned prior to that for an upcoming project that we are working on and I thought it would be a great addition to my matted prints. This piece is called "Jungle Giraffe" It is available in all 3 sizes as well as framed!

Green With Aloha Tote Bags by Heather Brown Are Back in Stock!

Aloha!

Wet week so far here on the North Shore, the plants are loving it, the pets are not!

I wanted to let everyone know that the Green With Aloha Tote bags are finally back in stock!
These totes are made out of 100% recycled organic cotton, printed with all water based inks, made and printed here in the USA. The bags are also extremely durable and will last for many many years of grocery hauling or if they are lucky beach supplies hauling! We have been using the same bags for over three years now, from when I first screened the initial prototypes and they hold up great and like a good pair of jeans they just get better and better also.

I am also currently running an internet special on the bags where you can purchase 1 for $25 or for a limited time you can get 2 for $40! Click on the pictures below for more details and ordering information. Mahalo Nui Loa!

Aloha Friends!

I just received some copies of the new Kalapana Best of CD released limited edition in Japan in the mail today with the art that I created for Malibu's Surf Shop (www.malibus.com) for the cover art!

I am honored as Kalapana has been making music for almost 40 years now and they are a true sign of positive inspiration for decades of contemporary Hawaiian Musicians.

I also offer the Malibu's art as matted prints here: http://heatherbrownart.com/home.php?gallery=0000004305&set=6&imageid=00673351

Heather Brown Show at The Wyland Gallery in Waikiki Re-Cap

Aloha!

Thanks to all of my readers that have been so patient with me and my lack of updates this summer!
I just finished my summer show series, 4 shows in 60 days! The final show was this past Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at The Wyland Gallery in Waikiki. Wow! What a fun show, we ended up being there until after 11 because there were so many fans and collectors that came by and it was so nice to meet and chat with so many fans and collectors old and new alike! You all make me so happy and make it so easy for me to put even more time in my studio to create more art to make you smile inside and out!

The second new release is a huge 30x48 original that will be released in 3 sizes called "Seaside Dream"
It is a piece that reminds me of waking up early and going down to surf with Chris when the lighting is still so faint and beautiful, just before your eyes really start to wake up!
