2011 Honolulu Surf Film Festival with Original Poster Art By Heather Brown

Aloha!

I was so honored to be asked to create the original poster and brochure art for the 2011 Honolulu Surf Film Festival to be held in early July. I took some inspiration from the original Big Wednesday film poster as I thought it was fitting being a Surf Film Festival and this is what I came up with.

The original art is available for sale on my website and I ship worldwide.

This was a small write up by the Honolulu Academy of the Arts on the Film Festival which features the art as well.

Mahalo for Following my blog!

Aloha!

I wanted to thank everyone for following my blog and apologize for not updating it recently. We are currently in Santa Cruz and have been all over Northern California for shows, store visits, signings and some fun camping in Yosemite, Tahoe, Santa Cruz and Half Moon Bay. We have had very limited internet connections so I promise to update when we get back home to Hawai'i on Monday.

Green With Aloha Organic Cotton Tote Bags by Heather Brown

Aloha!

I just released a brand new Organic Cotton Tote Bag! I love these bags because they are big enough to go shopping with and strong enough to last a lifetime and 100% machine washable! I now have 4 different designs to pick from, but here is the latest. Mahalo!

Heather Brown's New Limited Edition Linocut Print and Brushstroke Original

Good Morning, and a rainy one with lots of lightning and Thunder on the North Shore today!
I just released on my website a new Linocut print that I created for the 2011 Greenroom Festival in Yokohama Japan called "Turquoise Waters"
This is an excerpt from a recent interview about "Turquoise Waters"

“Turqouise Waters” is a new linocut from May 2011. When I was asked to be a featured artist at the 2011 Greenroom Festival in Yokohama Japan, I immediately thought of bringing the beautiful warm waters of Hawai’I to the people in Japan that have endured through so much  in the past  months.

There are about 20 left in the edition of 40 and I have some framed in really cool reclaimed wood frames that are built here at my studio (all of the wood is from old North Shore homes that have been taken down in the past)

I also just released a new original brushstroke painting. This is a first for me, I like it so much that it is currently hanging on the wall of my home!
